Online Video Resources

Chuck Knows Church – Chuck Knows Church is a video series that presents the Christian faith, especially objects, symbols, and terms we often hear in church, in a fun, yet informative, way.  Each week a different video is released on YouTube and announced on the Chuck Knows Church Facebook page.  There are currently more than 90 episodes available on a variety of topics with more being produced. Each episode is approximately 2-5 minutes. Videos can be downloaded, and they can be uploaded to the church website. There is also an app for iPad and iPhone.

G‑dcast – G‑dcast explains Judaism through a collection of animated films and short videos. G-dcast produces videos, apps and interactive experiences that give children, teens, and adults the opportunity learn the basics of the Jewish faith, especially through video presentations of the stories of the Jewish Scriptures. There are over 200 videos in the YouTube library, including over 50 animated video shorts of the Torah. There are also curricular resources for learning that accompany the videos.

Right Now Media (Subscription Service) – RightNow Media is like “Netflix for the church” with a huge library of thousands of video sessions that people can access anytime, anywhere. People can watch content from a TV, desktop, laptop, Roku, iPhone and iPad app. Churches purchase an annual subscription. The creative team films and produces RightNow Media Originals featuring teaching from respected teachers and pastors.  They also distribute video resources produced by over 100 other major Christian publishers and ministries.

The Skit Guys (Videos for Purchase & Download) – Tommy Woodard and Eddie James are The Skit Guys. They have been best friends since high school. Think of them as the wise guys in class who had everyone laughing and managed to make a career out of it. They’ve been teaching God’s word using comedy, drama and whatever category talking action figures fit into for over twenty years. They have produce a wide variety of videos: seasonal videos, topical videos, family videos, and youth videos. In addition to their videos, they produce a podcast.

Visual Parables – Visual Parables offers over 1200 scholarly film reviews highlighting the connections between faith, film, and popular culture. There are also short summaries in the film capsules section of Visual Parables for paragraph-length synopses. The monthly Visual Parables Journal (subscription) has news about new films and DVDs—plus an array of study guides; and serves as a guide for exploring the spiritual power of movies.

Worship House Media (Videos for Purchase & Download) – WorshipHouse Media exists to provide worship videos and church media resources including mini movies, worship song tracks, church countdowns, worship backgrounds, and small group videos. The Mini Movies cover a wide spectrum of theological topics and Bible verses. They also have a special section for Videos for Youth.
