Connect Online – Successfully transitioning into and out of youth group

7:00pm – 8:30pm Monday 13 Sept 2021: – via Zoom, from anywhere in the country.

The stats don’t lie, many of our young people exit our churches when they move from children’s ministry into youth group and when they finish. These transition periods marked to moving into college and going to university are tricky for young people, parents and churches to navigate.

In this super practical session the PYM team will share and explore helpful strategies for supporting young people, their parents and leaders at these important transition stages. We will also make sure you get the opportunity to learn from each other in our breakout group discussions.

Connect Online: Intermediate Ministry Essentials

Intermediates Don’t Miss the opportunities!

Intermediates is a goldmine of opportunities and often under-rated by our churches. Join us and look at how intermediates ministry can fulfil the opportunities it has by being on the cutting edge of youth ministry.

In this session we will be joined by Neville Bartley, National Youth Ministry Leader at Scripture Union. Neville is passionate about training, supporting and equipping both leaders and young people to be all they can be in Christ. We will also make sure you get the opportunity to learn from each other in our breakout group discussions.

This is the first Connect online training of 2021. In this session we spend the first hour looking at what we can do to set up our ministry to thrive in this uncertain time. During the last half hour there will be time for group discussions.

We encourage leaders from the same church to sit together in the same room, perhaps have a meal beforehand, and during the group discussion segment chat amongst themselves. For leaders participating alone, we will use Zoom breakout rooms during the group discussion.

After registering you will be emailed information on how to attend the training.

Future Connect Online dates for your calendar:

  • 10 May, Young Adults
  • 12 July, Intermediates
  • 13 Sept, Transitioning well, moving on from Intermediate and High School.
  • 8 Nov, Helping parents win

These are our provisional topics, we may change topics if circumstances require us to tackle another topic urgently.
