We are delighted to announce that Key Leaders Retreat is back again this year!

PYM is inviting key youth leaders to attend our Key Leaders Retreat in Queenstown for FREE.

We will pay for one key youth leader per congregation. A second key youth leader is allowed to attend the retreat for $150.

We acknowledge the essential work of “key” youth leaders within the church’s youth ministry. A key Leader is someone who heads up youth ministry at a particular church or organisation and leads a team of youth leaders. The key leader may be a volunteer or paid position. Research continues to show how vital the role of key leaders are in the health and effectiveness of a youth ministry. We continue to see youth ministries thrive when a key leader has been in the role for 5 to 7+ years. This key leader retreat is aimed at, gathering, acknowledging, refreshing and equipping key leaders from across the PCANZ.

    Acknowledging

This one’s on us! We know how hard you work and how much you sacrifice to care for young people in your parish and community. We want to say thank you. So if you have attended Connect 2017 this three-day retreat in Queenstown is absolutely FREE! All you have to do is get yourself there.

    Gathering

It’s good to be together! There is tremendous value in networking. This retreat will be a fantastic opportunity for you to connect up with other key leaders in the PCANZ; sharing stories, best practice and offering encouragement and support.

    Refreshing

Good youth workers are pastors and role models, not just organisers of events and crazy games. This means that taking time to seek God about the vision and direction of their ministries isn’t incidental to their work. It is indispensable. PYM believes it is vital for churches to give their key youth leaders time away from the busyness of ministry to pray and seek the Father. The best thing your young people can find in a youth worker is someone who’s following God with all their heart.

    Equipping

Amidst the time to refresh and connect with other key leaders we will devote small pockets of time to up-skilling you in the unique role the perform focusing on soul care, spiritual formation and how to lead other leaders effectively.
